Grand Imperial at The Grosvenor Hotel

The challenge here was to launch this Cantonese fine dining establishment at a time when the Grosvenor Hotel was undergoing a full renovation project. Grand Imperial is owned by successful entrepreneur and celebrity Chef Rand Cheung, one of Malaysia’s leading restaurateurs.

The launch event attracted over 250 guests including press, bookers and clients of the hotel. During the next 12 months we achieved influential coverage including The Times, the Independent and the Evening Standard. Bloggers were a vital part of this campaign and the restaurant scored strongly with some of London’s most influential food bloggers.

adhoc pr helped develop and launch new menu ideas and private dining experiences including London’s first Chocolate Dim Sum afternoon tea experience and Boba popping cocktails to create a unique twist on the restaurant’s message of authenticity. The restaurant was also entered into the Tsingtao Legacy of Taste Award for Best Chinese Restaurant 2011 and achieved a place in the final top three amongst thousands of contenders UK wide.
